Manufacturing Aluminum Truck Platforms

The large-scale aluminum weldment shown above is a 12 foot long truck bed that will be installed on a flat-bed truck. Our team manufactures a handful of these components each year for one of the leading truck manufacturers in North America. 

Using both flat sheet and tube material, we laser cut and saw cut the component parts before MIG and TIG welding them into the truck bed you see above. 

For this particular client, each flatbed we create is unique and built to the specs of their eventual customer. Some include a tarp roll, some include removable or drop-down sides, others include custom tie downs and anti-skid surfaces.

These truck platforms are fabricated from aluminum in order to keep the ultimate Gross Vehicle Weight down and therefore reduce vehicle registration fees. In addition, the aluminum holds up better over time in variable climate conditions.

Fabricating & Welding Steel Truck Bumpers

The unique project shown above is a steel bumper for a heavy-duty truck. This bumper acts as both a step and a storage unit while maintaining the high level of structural integrity necessary to also serve as a trailer hitch. 

Fabricated out of mild steel, this component was laser cut, formed, MIG welded and finally powder coated white. Once delivered to the customer, they add their own proprietary, anti-skid coating to the step surface.

Our team manufactures anywhere between 50 and 100 of these step bumpers per year, and are experts at quality and consistency. Whether it’s the initial cutting processes, forming, or welding the components together, our thorough QC processes ensure a high-quality outcome for each project.

Fabricating & Welding Custom Diesel Tanks

The 700-gallon diesel tanks shown above demonstrate our unique commitment to delivering quality results for our clients. These tanks mount to a trailer with an engine and generator to create a high-output mobile generator system.

Starting with client-supplied material, we provide laser cutting, forming and MIG welding services to create the tanks. 

As the tanks are being fabricated, we utilize Loctite on each welded seam or joint to ensure quality adhesion of the metal components. Finally, once the tanks are built, each unit is individually pressure tested to 5 PSI to ensure there are no leaks. In the event that a leak is detected, we use a TIG welding process to close the leak.

Once again, our vigorous quality control process ensures the units are delivered leak-proof, and up to spec so that the client can install them on their generator trailers with minimal worry.
